Privacy Policy

Doodraw is built to respect your privacy. There are no user accounts, no ads, and your artwork never leaves your device unless you choose to export or share it. This policy explains the limited, pseudonymous data we do collect and why.

The short version

  • Your drawings stay on your device. We never upload, access, or store your artwork on our servers.
  • No account required. We don't collect your name, email address, or contact details.
  • No ads, ever. We don't sell or rent your data, and we don't use advertising networks.
  • We collect limited anonymous usage and diagnostic data through trusted service providers, to fix bugs and improve the app.

Your creations stay local

All drawings, projects, and settings are stored locally on your device. When you export a creation (GIF, MP4, PNG), the file goes only where you choose to save or share it.

Data we collect

We do not collect personal information such as your name, email, or contacts. To operate and improve Doodraw, we collect limited pseudonymous data through the following service providers:

Usage analytics — PostHog (hosted in the EU). Events such as app opened, drawing started, or export completed; device model, OS version, app version, and language; approximate location (country/region, derived from your IP address); and a random identifier generated on your device. This identifier is not tied to your name or identity. Purpose: understanding which features are used and improving the app.

Crash and performance reporting — Sentry. Crash reports, performance data, and technical device information. Purpose: finding and fixing bugs.

Purchases and subscriptions — Adapty. Purchase history and subscription status (for example, whether Doodraw Pro is active), transaction information provided by the App Store or Google Play, and the same pseudonymous identifier. Purpose: unlocking Pro features, restoring purchases across devices, and providing billing support. Payments themselves are processed entirely by Apple or Google — we never see or store your payment card details.

What we don't do

  • We do not sell or rent any data.
  • We do not show ads or use advertising networks.
  • We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
  • We do not access, analyze, or view your artwork.

Legal bases (GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area, we process usage and diagnostic data on the basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving Doodraw, and purchase data as necessary for the performance of our contract with you (providing the Pro features you purchased).

Data retention

Analytics and diagnostic data are retained by our service providers for limited periods and then deleted or aggregated. Purchase records are kept for as long as needed to provide your access and to meet legal and accounting obligations.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside the EU. Where this happens, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact support@doodraw.com. EU users may also lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority (in France, the CNIL).

Children's privacy

Doodraw is a general-audience app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The limited data described above is pseudonymous and is not used to identify any user.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date.
